While you’re getting a sweater for Mom, a jacket for Dad or a blouse for Sis, please give a thought to the neediest amongst us... our foster youth and at-risk children. We understand that this is a difficult time to be asking for a donation. But some of these children have no one. No family member that cares and they will not be home for the holiday; We ask on their behalf. You have the chance to give yourself a holiday gift by giving one to these kids. Imagine their lives through their eyes where the holidays are merely receiving only a $5.00 gift certificate from Toys R Us and the reality of being all alone, lonely, and separated because of neglect or abuse.
We began our Toy-Drive over two decades ago and we have been successful thanks to the individuals, volunteers and sponsors.
This year our goal is to provide gifts for 12,000 children this Christmas. With your help, we can reach this goal. Please buy a toy, any toy or gift certificate. With 24,000 children in foster care in Los Angeles County, we can always find a place to provide a smile for a child. Monetary donations are also accepted and we will see to it that the money is spent wisely, and equally.
Toys and gifts should be delivered to UCI, 3679 Crenshaw Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90016. We will be forever grateful for your assistance and recognize that we could not continue without your generosity and selflessness.
If you prefer to make a monetary contribution, please send check, made payable to:
United Care, Inc.
